Managed PostgreSQL

Auto-generated REST API
Full CRUD, filtering, pagination and OpenAPI docs straight from your schema, powered by PostgREST.
JWT + Row-Level Security
PostgREST verifies your JWTs and applies Postgres RLS, so access policies live in the database. A hosted auth service is coming soon.
Backups + point-in-time recovery
Automated backups of your PostgreSQL database, held cross-state in Melbourne. Daily on every tier at 1am Sydney time with 7-day recovery, and on Launch you choose the hour. Scale backs up every hour with 30-day recovery, so there is no single window to set. See how point-in-time recovery works.
Object storage
A private, S3-compatible bucket on every database, in Sydney — 512 MB on Free, 2 GB on Hobby, 5 GB on Launch, 10 GB on Scale. Deleted files stay recoverable for 30 days. Buckets are served from Sydney with a cross-state copy in Melbourne that we restore from. That copy holds current versions only and is not an endpoint you can reach, so it guards against losing Sydney rather than against deleting a file. Keep your own master copy of anything you cannot re-create. Object storage is outside the SLA.
Extensions
PostGIS for geospatial data, pgvector for embeddings, pg_cron for scheduling jobs inside the database, and pg_stat_statements so you can see which queries are actually slow — installed and ready on every database, no ticket required. uuid-ossp, citext, pg_trgm and the other trusted contrib extensions are available too (full list).

Billed per database
Each paid database is its own monthly subscription in AUD. Free databases are not invoiced — if that ever changes we will give at least 30 days notice first, and a workspace with several paid databases gets one invoice with a line per database. You only pay for what you run.
We invoice, you pay
Each month we email a GST tax invoice payable within 7 days, settled by bank transfer or PayID. We hold no card or bank details and nothing is charged automatically — there is no direct debit to authorise and nothing to cancel.
GST tax invoices
The prices above include 10% GST. A valid tax invoice with our ABN, showing the GST separately, is issued at the start of each period and is in the console from the moment it is raised.
No lock-in
Cancel anytime. Cancelling keeps the database running to the end of the period you have paid for; deleting removes it immediately. Either way, if you do it within 7 days of paying, we refund that month’s payment — the one you just made, not earlier months you have already used.
