This Acceptable Use Policy (
“AUP”) sets out the rules for using the WattleDB Services provided by
RR Sols Pty Ltd (ABN 56 672 722 486), trading as
WattleDB. It forms part of, and is incorporated into, our
Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meanings given in the Terms.
01Purpose
The purpose of this AUP is to protect our customers, our platform and the wider community, and to keep the Services secure, reliable and lawful. You are responsible for your own conduct and content, and for the conduct and content of anyone who uses the Services through your account.
02Prohibited activities
You must not use the Services to, and must not permit or encourage others to:
Unlawful & harmful content
- store, transmit or make available content that is illegal under Australian law, including child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence or terrorism, or content that is defamatory, harassing or threatening;
- infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any person; or
- process personal information in breach of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or other applicable privacy laws.
Security & integrity
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, network, data or account;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Services except under an authorised security-testing arrangement with us;
- introduce or distribute malware, ransomware, or other malicious code;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with security or authentication features, rate limits, or usage restrictions; or
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, including through denial-of-service attacks.
Abuse & misuse of resources
- send spam or unsolicited bulk or commercial messages in breach of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth);
- engage in phishing, fraud, or deceptive or misleading conduct;
- use the Services to operate a cryptocurrency-mining operation, a botnet, or an anonymisation/relay proxy for third parties;
- consume resources in a manner that materially degrades the Services for other customers, or attempt to resell or share access in breach of the Terms; or
- use the Services for high-risk activities where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage, without appropriate independent safeguards.
03Your responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials secure and restrict access to authorised users.
- Ensure you have the rights and consents needed for the Customer Data you store and process.
- Maintain your own backups of critical data.
- Comply with all laws applicable to your use of the Services and your industry.
04Enforcement & suspension
If we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may, proportionately to the breach: contact you to require you to stop; remove or disable access to offending content; throttle, suspend or terminate the Services or your account; and take any steps required by law. Where practicable and appropriate, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach first; however, we may act immediately where a breach poses a risk to security, other customers, or third parties, or where required by law. We will limit any suspension to what is reasonably necessary.

We may update this AUP from time to time. The current version is always available at wattledb.com.au/acceptable-use.html. Material changes will be notified in accordance with our Terms of Service.
